Installation, cabinet, porcelain figurines and boxes, red wax, chewing gum
This installation delves into the intricate question of identity within the sacrosanct space of a domestic vitrine, a fixture commonly found in households. The artist has meticulously reconstructed this space, complete with objects typical of its setting, then employed interventions such as breaking or adorning with chewing gum and red wax. These alterations symbolize a particular psychological entity that results from being part of a family unit and accepting its identity. The installation is designed for interactivity, allowing viewers to explore its interior, a parallel to the process of integrating disparate aspects of one's personality. It highlights the considerable influence that fragmented narrative structures and modes of thinking exert over us, constantly creating tension that often erupts into unpleasant or even violent behavior.
