Crvenolom

Crvenolom is an artwork that was created during a one-month long residency at KC Grad. Drawing inspiration from ready-mades, I coated various objects with a vibrant red paint, creating a monochromatic environment that offers an emotional interpretation of the intimate space of a child’s room.

 

In the performative aspect of the installation, I actively engaged with the space, becoming a "living" part of the artwork. By doing so, I aimed to evoke a similar emotional response within the viewer, while also exploring the limits of voyeuristic tendencies when it comes to delving into other people's memories and emotional interpretations.

 

Furthermore, the piece encourages individuals to confront their own repressed emotions in relation to their own childhood memories.
